Configuring Entourage Authenticated SMTP
  1. Open Entourage
  2. Select Accounts from the Tools menu.
  3. Select your Expedient email account from the list and click the Edit button.
  4. Click the button labeled Click here for advanced sending options under "Sending Mail" at the bottom.
  5. Place a check in the box labeled SMTP server requires authentication.
  6. Select Log on using and type your Expedient email address into the Account ID: field and your email password into the Password: field -- OR -- if you use your Expedient email address for the incoming (POP3/IMAP) username field rather than your username (recommended) or change the username to your Expedient email address, select Use same settings as receiving mail server.
  7. Close the advanced sending options dialog box.
  8. Click OK.
