Configuring Your E-mail Client For Authenticated SMTP

To help fight against SPAM, ITLnet e-mail servers will require SMTP authentication on Tuesday, November 1, 2005. If you are using an e-mail client other than our MailSite webmail page, you need to change some settings in your e-mail program. You will not be able to send e-mail with out these changes. Please follow the links below for instructions on how to do this.

Configuring Your E-mail Client For Authenticated SMTP:

NOTES:

  • If you are using ITLNET MAILSITE (mail.itlnet.net) you DO NOT need to do anything.
  • If you are not using ITLnet for e-mail you DO NOT need to do anything (Yahoo Mail, Hotmail, etc...)
  • If you do not see your e-mail client in the above list, please refer to your program's documentation (ie Help).
