  Don Mullenix, our Editor, has been inducted into the Oklahoma Route 66 Association Hall of Fame.  He has done a lot to promote interest in Route 66 and tourism for Elk City and Oklahoma.  Here are just a few of the events, etc., that Don has been involved in:  Chairman of the Route 66 Roundup-the first Route 66 Event held in Oklahoma after the Route was decommissioned; was one of the founders of the Oklahoma Route 66 Association and served as  Beckham County Trustee; assisted in organizing the first Oklahoma Route 66 Cruise; interim Route 66 Association President; co-chaired the 2nd Route 66 Cruise; worked on the 3rd, 4th, 5th Route 66 Cruise;  served on the Chamber of Commerce Convention and Tourism Committee; chairman in 1988 & 1990 & co-chairman in 1989.
  John West, our Roving Editor, is owner of his own Oil & Gas Leasing business, President of the Anadarko Basin Museum of Natural History in Elk City, OK, & one of 8 Tourism Commissioners for the State of Oklahoma.  One of the projects he has been working on is the reconstruction of the Quartz Mountain State Lodge since it burned down.
  Sharon Hylton, Director and right-hand-woman, is a divorced mom, too young to be a grand-mom of one, and we're lucky to have her!  She has a BS in Elementary Education and likes to dance up a storm, sing (though she can't sing a lick), write poems, listen to good music, read good books, etc., (all of which she'll get to do someday)!  If you know of any drop dead gorgeous guys with a tonof money.....
